Intro
Rachel has over 14 years' experience exclusively acting for medical clients with a particular focus on the Dental and GP Profession.
With extensive knowledge in medical accounts, her knowledge and expertise takes in financial accounts for Dental Practices & GPs across England. Alongside accounting experience, Rachel has a wealth of experience of practice purchases/sales and restructuring, she is passionate about her work and the industry.
In addition to managing a client portfolio, Rachel heads up 'Making Tax Digital' to ensure our clients are prepared for the future changes and is also accredited to support our clients with their IT accounting packages such as Xero so the required support and training can be delivered.
Professional Experience
Rachel began her financial career in 2009 as an accounts trainee at Robson Laidler LLP in Newcastle, where she prepared yearly accounts for a wide variety of businesses, including dental practices and GP surgeries. This role involved full accounts preparation, superannuation certificates and pensionable profit estimates for primary care trusts.
In 2012 Rachel took up a post as a medical accountant at RMT Accountants, where she further developed her knowledge of financial accounting systems for medical practices, including partnerships and individuals. Rachel became an integral part of the client team, liaising on a daily basis with practice managers and visiting clients as required.
Rachel joined former colleagues at specialist medical accountants BW Medical Accountants in September 2013 where her role includes delivering work onsite for clients and managing a national portfolio of Dental and GP Practices.
Expertise
As a Specialist Medical Accounts Manager, Rachel manages our medical services accountants and acts as a key contact for our clients. Rachel's role takes in the final preparation of financial accounts for GP Practices and is the lead Manager for our Dental Clients heading up a national client portfolio across the NHS and private healthcare sector. This includes Principals, Associates and Dental Therapists.
