Intro

Mark has over 20 years medical accountancy experience. He has vast knowledge and expertise with regards to GP accounts and is used to dealing all sizes of practices, from sole practitioners up to 18 Partner GP practices.

Professional Experience

Mark started his accountancy career at Touche Ross & Co, (now knows as Deloitte). He then moved to City Hospitals, Sunderland and worked as an auditor before moving to Gateshead & South Tyneside Health Authority to work in their finance department so he has a solid foundation in NHS Finance. 

Mark's career has always been focused on the healthcare sector and before joining specialist medical accountants BW Medical in January 2014, he spent 15 years working for a regional accountancy firm managing a portfolio of GP Practices within their medical department.

Expertise

As a specialist Medical Accountant, Mark manages the preparation of medical accounts for clients, as well as advising Practice Managers and medical practitioners on all aspects of their accounts/finances.

In 2023 Mark took on additional responsibilities as a Supervisor.
