I'm fortunate to have worked with many of the BW team previously, including Keith, NHS pension expert Kevin Walker and head of tax David Elliot, so it's great to be working with former colleagues who also happen to be some of the best advisers in their field.

Intro

Julia has over 30 years of accounting experience, >8 years specifically dedicated to NHS finance. Julia is a Fellow Member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and also has a HND in Accounting & Finance from Leeds Metropolitan University.

Professional Experience

Julia is known by our team and has previously advised healthcare clients when she worked for a regional accountancy firm advising Dentists and Doctors.  Following a long period working for accountancy firms, she took some time out of professional services to work as Finance Manager for Advanced Industrial Solutions, a training firm for oil and gas companies, where she was responsible for all aspects of the company's accounts and gained valuable experience client side. 

Julia joined BW Medical with exceptional accountancy skills and vast experience, initially Julia spent time shadowing her peers and attending healthcare finance courses in order to refresh and update her healthcare sector knowledge.

In 2019 Julia was promoted to Medical Accounts Manager and managed a national portfolio of GP Practices.  In 2023, Julia decided to reduce her hours and now works as part of our team as a Senior Accountant.

Expertise

As a senior accountant, Julia prepares specialist medical accountants for a national client portfolio of GP and Dental Accounts. Julia is involved in the preparation of medical accounts, superannuation certificates and provides strategic advice and support to our healthcare clients.

There are no two days the same at BW Medical Accountants, our focus is the healthcare sector and we deliver our specialist services to a national medical client base.
