General Practice: HR Masterclass - Terms and conditions of employment – all you need to know (3)

Tuesday 19th February, 9.30am – 11.30am

In this session, we work through template clauses in a contract of employment, including sick payments, probationary periods, payment terms and holidays. We will discuss how to draft individual clauses that are robust and bespoke to your practice, whilst also identifying common pitfalls when managing employee’s contracts of
employment.

Many practices are now taking on apprentices, there is limited information coming from the training provider about what you need to have in place for an employer to employee relationship. The class will include information that you must include in the apprenticeship agreement, when it should be given and the controls you have in place for your new employee.

Training contracts are used when a business is giving a significant cost to train and invest into an employee. We will provide an overview of the use of these contracts in the workplace and how they need to be covered in your contract of employment to ensure they are legally compliant.

  • We had no hesitation in moving to BW Medical Accountants.  For any business your accountant is integral, and for us one of the most important factors to this relationship is to have a personal and trusting approach, which BW have undoubtedly achieved.

The service we receive and the interest they show in our practice assures us that they have a genuine interest in us and commitment to us.  More importantly they are always helpful and polite to answer even the dumbest of questions!  They give us confidence and reassurance knowing that they are always very up-to-date with all the numerous changes within general practice and we would have no hesitation in recommending them to other practices seeking a professional and personal accountancy service.
