General Practice: HR Masterclass: CQC: Mission statements, culture and values (4)
Within your CQC visits, you will be asked about what your mission statement and culture is for the practice. We have realised these are very often written but don’t underpin the business needs or provide an understanding for the employees of what the Practice aims to achieve.
The purpose of the mission statement is to focus and direct the organisation itself; it communicates to the people who make up the Practice – its employees and patients, giving them a shared understanding of the Practices intended direction.
Within this session we will discuss:
• What is a mission statement?
• How it can be used within the practice?
• What purpose it has?
• The values that can be developed and used on a daily basis
• How you can encourage the practice employees and patients to use the values
• How the values fit into the job description?
• Values and appraisals – they work together
The Speaker
Louise has a successful career spanning over 17 years, running HR teams. As owner and director of Oculus HR, Louise has experience across many sectors including Healthcare and the NHS. Louise is particularly experienced at providing guidance on building HR strategies for general practice growth and change.
