Community

For six years we supported the Newcastle Falcons and its Community Foundation. Our involvement took on many different guises including funding the Christmas selection boxes which are handed out by the players to North East Children's Hospitals. 

Back in 2013 when we launched BW Medical Accountants, our team raised over £4,000 for the Motor Neurone Disease (MND) Association.

Our chosen charity for 2014 was Meningitis NOW. We selected a charity committee and our team organised fund-raising throughout the year. We raised >£4,500, all the monies raised went towards supporting those people who have suffered from Meningitis and investing in essential research into its cause and treatments.

Since 2015, rather than support one specific charity we arranged ad-hoc fundraising events throughout the year and we chose to support Children North East with their Christmas Giving Tree appeal annually alongside the local Food Bank in lieu of sending corporate Christmas cards and gifts. 

Children North East create life-changing differences for babies, children and young people in their families, schools and communities. This charity offers practical support at those times when a little help can make a big difference for a child and its future. Ultimately, their mission is that all North East children and young people grow up to be healthy and happy.

Members of our team also take part in individual challenges to raise money for local and national charities, some of the pictures feature in our gallery - Great North Run, Coast 2 Coast Cycle Challenge, Macmillan Mighty Hike to name a few!

For 2023/24 we have selected to support local North East Charity, Daft as a Brush Cancer Patient Care - watch this space and our gallery for further updates!

We chose to partner with a local sports club, Medicals RFC. In a sponsorship deal worth £2,000 our financial support enabled the club to purchase new equipment, including match balls and new goal post protectors.  We have also financed their training tops and we have provided new equipment.

BW Medical also sponsor a select number of NHS initiatives, this has included the 'Best of Health' Awards and 'GP Practice of the Year'. We continually support GP, Dental & Hospital Trust educational events throughout England and our specialists volunteer their time and expertise.
